Artificial intelligence approaches for the analysis of single-cell proteomic (CyTOF) data in cancer
The advances in high-throughput and single-cell technologies in biomedical research are generating an unprecedent amount of data that needs to be analyzed and integrated into their biological context. The team of Maria Rodríguez Martínez develops machine and deep-learning tools, together with statistical and mathematical modelling to explore multi-omics and single-cell proteomics datasets of tumor samples.
Maria’s team has recently developed AI algorithms to analyze breast cancer cellular heterogeneity at the proteomic level, and this way contribute to dissect the molecular mechanisms of cancer, and develop predictive models of disease progression and treatment.
